Abstract: The flipped classroom is a model of teaching in which students view lectures/presentations at home and then come to class to do what is usually assigned as homework. In this hands-on workshop, participants will: 1) learn about the concept of the flipped classroom, 2) learn how to build and assess effective online tutorials using VoiceThread, and 3) brainstorm ways to create engaging follow-up activities for their students.
Bio: Edwige Simon is the Foreign Language Technology Coordinator at the Anderson Language Technology Center. She works closely with foreign language faculty on technology integration in the face-to-face and online classroom projects.
