Abstract: In this session I’ll share tips and tricks on using the universal design features of Desire2Learn learning environment to create inclusive courses. From simple advice on structuring your syllabi and course content, to advanced techniques for building student engagement and programmatic remediation plans, this session should appeal to both new and power LMS users and diverse educators.
Bio: Sandra Earl is responsible for research, analysis, planning, design, and validation of exceptional user experiences at Desire2Learn. She is a long-time member of Desire2Learn’s Accessibility Interest Group and recent graduate of the Master of Inclusive Design program at OCADU. She is deeply interested in promoting inclusive learning opportunities through online.

There are no requirements for attending this session. Participants will be invited to share best practices and ideas.
