Using Mobile Devices with Your LMS to Drive Student Performance

Primary Presenter: John Schroeder

Organization: eInstruction Corporation

Role: Regional Sales Executive

Track: Exhibitor Presentation

Topic: Student Assessment, Engagement, Success

Level: For Mere Mortals

Abstract: Mobile devices dominate our student's lives.  This session will demonstrate the ability to leverage a BYOD model within your LMS to increase student participation, proctor class, grade quizzes, get detailed information on student performance and take attendance.  Everything lives inside your LMS and there's no importing or exporting of rosters, assessments or student results. Using this method, instructors become more efficient, spending less time grading course work and evaluating students and more time teaching class.

Bio: John is an Inside Sales Advisor for eInstruction and is responsible for coordinating sales and business development for the western region of the United States. He has been working with educators for 14 years, the last four focusing on introducing hardware and software solutions to help schools integrate technology into the classroom. He is also certified on Wave and Insight 360 software platforms and is committed to helping educators and students advance learning every day.

Description: Streamline tasks such as taking attendance, grading assessments and recording results. Capture real-time assessment data to gauge comprehension during class.  Review concepts, prepare for exams and spark discussion.
